Visit Yuma launches “Hello. I’m Yuma.” campaign
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Visit Yuma recently launched a campaign called "Hello. I'm Yuma." to reintroduce Yuma and draw more tourists into our community.
The campaign was created by the Visit Yuma team after they received a half-a-million-dollar grant to use on marketing.
The campaign includes a series of photos and videos that are being used to promote tourism in our area.
A company came to Yuma from Washington to photograph and videotape Yuma locals doing various activities in the community.
The poem below was created for and read in the video.
"Hello, I’m Yuma.
The Gateway to the Southwest.
The Sunniest Place on Earth.
I’ve been given many names, but I’m more than what they call me.
I’m the mighty Rio Colorado.
I’m the relentless Sonoran Desert.
I’m the adrenaline that makes you feel alive.
I’m the revolution of adventure……and the art of “no holds barred.”
Soy la invitacion aver mas cerca.
I’m your reminder to go deep.
To start anywhere.
To get curious.
To collect moments.
To find your edge.
I’m the stomping ground of storytellers and truth benders.
Risk takers and meaning makers.
I’m the home of desert dwellers, adventure seekers, and quality time keepers.
I thrive by leafy greens and warm winters.
I’m boundless.
I’m untamed.
I’m larger than life.
I’m Yuma."
