YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - In a chilled room at Amberly's Place 4 of the 10 winners of last week's 'Week in Paradise' contest sat idle.
Among the winners was Louis Scott who tells us that he has supported Amberly's Place since it was created over two decades ago. Scott took home the Disneyland package which he says he will give to his daughter.
Sarah Amerson says she received her ticket as a gift from her boss. Sarah took home the Beach House weekend which she says her kids are incredibly excited about.
During last week's drawing Jose Fabiani was watching from the wading pool at Waylon's Water World when he heard his name called and learned he just won a trip to San Diego. Jose says that he's never won anything and that this trip is going to be an amazing experience.
Lastly, Blade Anthony was in attendance, Anthony took home the grand prize, a trip to Hawaii. Anthony says that everyone he knows has been to the island, and he's eager to see it for himself.
The 'Week in Paradise' fundraiser is the nonprofit's biggest fundraiser, the funds are used to support victim's needs where grant funds aren't available. If you'd like to support Amberly's Place, you can make a donation or visit their Thrift Shoppe on 8th Street and Avenue A.
