Staying breezy and warm

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Temperatures will warm into the low 90s today still being unseasonably warm with our average of 87 degrees.

Winds will stay breezy in Yuma with winds of 10 to 15 MPH. Stronger winds will start to develop in Imperial Valley with winds of 15 to 25 MPH.

Another round of wind! Wind Advisory for Imperial and Western Imperial Valley will go into effect from 5 p.m. this evening until 5 a.m. Friday, April 22 for expected gusts of 40 to 50 MPH.

Westerly winds will strengthen especially in Imperial Valley with wind gusts of 40 to 50 MPH. Blowing dust and sand is possible so make sure to take extra precautions. Stronger winds will return tomorrow for both Yuma and Imperial valley.

By tomorrow, both Yuma and Imperial Valley will experience a major drop in temperatures taking us 10 degrees below normal. Our expected high for tomorrow will be in the mid-70s, but we will warm back up into the 80s and 90s through the weekend.
