Temperatures will reach 103 this week

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- Much warmer conditions with high temperatures in the 90s are expected for today into the weekend as a strong ridge of high pressure aloft builds in over the region.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), high temperatures will approach 100 degrees over the lower deserts by Friday or Saturday with lower 100's likely by Sunday into early next week.

The main story that will dominate our weather through next week will be increasing temperatures in response to a strong upper level ridge building over the eastern Pacific.

Temperatures will increase each day through the weekend as the upper level ridge strengthens and migrates eastward.
