Tuesday night was a difficult night for most valley soccer teams in the playoffs
EL CENTRO, Calif. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - Four valley soccer teams took the pitch on Tuesday night with visions of reaching the CIF Division championship game. The Holtville Vikings girls soccer team defeated Chula Vista LCC at home 1-0. However, they were the only valley team to advance. The Central girls soccer team, in the DIII semi-final for the first time ever, lost at home to Sage Creek 7-0 at Cal Jones Field. The Imperial girls soccer team fought hard on the road but fell to the top seeded Southwest SD 2-0. In boys soccer, Holtville's season ended in El Cajon, falling 7-0 to Valhalla.
