Crash on Ave 5 E leaves one critically injured
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A person was sent to the hospital after a crash involving a truck and a sedan.
According to the Yuma County Sherriff's Office (YCSO), the accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday on south Avenue 5 E near East County 12th Street.
It was reported that around 3 a.m., a GMC Sierra collided with a parked Chevy Malibu. The driver of the Malibu was outside the vehicle at the time and was critically injured.
They were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) and later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital.
The driver of the GMC Sierra was uninjured and officials say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
This crash is still under investigation by YCSO.
