Comedian Willie Barcena set to perform live in Heber

HEBER, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Comedian Willie Barcena will perform live at the Prestige Event Center in Heber.

The distinguished comedian has been doing standup for almost 30 years and his work has been aired on Comedy-Central, Showtime, and even Netflix.

His material spans from family to dating, to politics, to his Latino culture.

Barcena was born in Mexico and grew up in Los Angeles, where he just finished up a string of sold-out shows.

He says he's excited to perform in the Imperial Valley because there’s a special charm and energy that comes from performing in smaller towns.

Barcena says "I've been doing this a long time… When I'm on the stage, I want people to feel like that's my bro or he reminds me of my cousin or he reminds me of my tio or reminds me of my friend from work, just down to earth and be a guy that can relate,"

The show starts at 7 p.m. on June 29th at the Prestige Event Center in Heber.
