Local veterans held memorial service for owner of Hyundai-Kia of Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - One month after the owner of Hyundai-Kia of Yuma owner tragically died in a plane crash, local veterans came together to hold a special memorial.
We spoke to one of the veterans who helped make it all happen.
A post from Hyundai of Yuma's social media said Abraham Razick was a “loving husband, father, brother, and proud United States Marine.”
“We had a beautiful memorial for him at the Hyundai dealership and we all came together as veterans and we also wanted to honor Abe who was a Marine veteran," said David Ibarra, VFW Post 8242.
Abraham Razick, along with his wife Alma Razick died in a tragic plane crash on July 8 in Murrieta, California.
Razick was a proud United States Marine, so local veteran David Ibarra brought several veteran organizations in Yuma together to host a special memorial this past weekend.
“American Legion Post 56 was contacted, the patriot guard, combat riders, and the Yuma bagpipe core,” said Ibarra.
Hyundai of Yuma said honor, courage, and commitment are values, " Razick learned while serving in the Marine Corps.
And giving back to the community was his passion.
“He would provide very good deals for veterans at his dealership and he would provide free oil changes for veterans so he took care of his veterans, so in turn, all veterans came by to pay our respects and have this memorial for Abe,” said Ibarra.
