Most adults may soon become eligible for second booster
(KYMA, KECY/ NBC News) - The Biden Administration says it is considering whether to expand a second Coronavirus booster shot to adults under 50-years of age.
It is in an effort to counter the latest, highly contagious variant, which has driven up hospitalizations.
The move would require regulatory approval and officials from the FDA and the CDC are expected to hold discussions in the coming days.
Back in March, those 50-years and older became eligible for a second booster, along with younger individuals who have immune deficiencies.
