Arizona teen arrested for threats after praising Uvalde shooting
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - An Arizona teen is under arrest after he allegedly made terrorist threats on-line, and praised the Uvalde school shooting.
Police in Casa Grande, Arizona took 19-year old, Joshua Bowen, into custody last Sunday after they say he threatened to harm people by mass shootings at a local high school, police station and movie theater in his on-line comments.
Officials say Bowen also threatened his family and friends.
Casa Grande Police Chief Mark McCroy said, there is "no doubt in my mind this individual was intent on hurting people and, ultimately would have found a way to do it."
McCroy also noted that the arrest came after the FBI received a tip from a civilian, and the bureau relayed that information to his department.
No guns were found on Bowen at the time of his arrest, but they do believe he did have access to firearms.
Bowen is being held on a $150,000 bond.
