Undocumented immigrants rescued in Yuma sand dunes during heavy winds

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents report of a rescue on Saturday near Yuma.

At about 1:45 p.m., agents were told of two people who were lost in the sand dunes and couldn't see because of the high winds.

The two were found nearly a quarter mile away from the U.S./ Mexico border and did not need any medical aid.

Records showed the individuals not having the proper documents to stay in the United States, they were to an El Centro Sector Center to be processed.
