USBP: Convicted felon arrested in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents keep tracking down felons attempting to cross the U.S illegally.

U.S. Border Patrols say its most recent apprehension was a group of four Honduran nationals Tuesday evening. Agents say they found the group near County 8 1/2 Street and Levee Road.

Record checks later revealed one of the men, Fredy Zuniga-Caceres, was convicted of malicious wounding in 2009 in Virginia. A judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

Agents said Zuniga-Caceres will be prosecuted for reentry of a felon after being removed from the United States and could face jail time.
