Lori Vallow, Chad Daybell indicted on murder charges
PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - The former Arizona mother whose children were found buried in the backyard of her home in Idaho along with her husband face murder charges.
AzFamily reported Lori Vallow was charged on Tuesday with two counts of first-degree murder, and Chad Daybell will be indicted on three counts of conspiracy to commit murder.
Vallow's children, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow, disappeared without a trace in September 2019. After their disappearance, Vallow left for Kauai, Hawaii, with her new husband Daybell after police started questioning her about the whereabouts of her children.
Sources said Vallow was arrested in February 2020 on charges of abandoning her children. In June 2020, police found the bodies of the children buried in Daybell's backyard in Idaho. Detectives were able to use cell phone data from Alex Cox, Vallow's brother. Cox's phone pinged him in Daybell's backyard on the final days the children were last seen.
Vallow lives in the East Valley before moving to Idaho. Police said in August 2019, Cox shot Charles Vallow.
Vallow previously lived in the East Valley before moving to Rexburg, Idaho. Sources said she moved after her husband, Charles Vallow, was shot by her brother, Alex Cox.
Cox died in December 2019 of natural causes.
