Migrant shelter in San Luis cannot hold more people, may receive another group
Restrictions placed on shelter
SAN LUIS RÍO COLORADO, Mexico (KYMA, KECY) - A migrant shelter in San Luis, Mexico is saying they cannot hold more people but another group is en route to be sheltered there.
This large group is looking to arrive at the San Luis Port of Entry, then the United States, but coronavirus restrictions are only allowing 50 people in the shelter.
Owner of the migrant shelter Marin Salgado says, ''We can help them to give them food but if they want to stay here, they will not be able to because of the coronavirus restrictions. We will only give priority to single mothers or families with children.''
There reportedly have been two coronavirus outbreaks at the shelter, and adding more people would risk a third.
