Arizona @ Work hosting first-ever Law Enforcement job fair
The fair is this coming Tuesday at the MLK Center in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - If you’ve ever considered a career in law enforcement, there’s a great opportunity to learn more this Tuesday.
That’s because Arizona @ Work is hosting its first-ever law enforcement job fair.
While walk-ins are welcome, attendees are encouraged to pre-register for the job fair at this link.
The event is this Tuesday at the MLK Neighborhood Center on 13th Avenue and 3rd Street.
Over 10 agencies, including the Yuma Police Department, Customs and Border Protection, and the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office will be represented.
The organizations all have current openings and are looking for candidates to fill them.
Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, and dress professionally.
Arizona @ Work's Executive Director says as the economy deals with labor shortages, law enforcement has also struggled to keep up with their employment needs.
“The labor shortage is impacting different varieties of industries, including law enforcement, so it’s an opportunity for us to help connect them with individuals to fill those open positions and see if they will hire those individuals," Nidia Hererra said.
While most of the agencies are hiring for positions located in Arizona, the California Highway Patrol will also be in attendance.
