Light show and festival held over the weekend in California

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A light show and festival was held over the weekend in Los Angeles in celebration of the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

The 500-drone light show took place at Hansen Dam Soccer Field and featured food trucks and vendors.

There was also live music from Queen Nation.

The images honored the Seventh Council District and the City of Los Angeles.

The drone show was an innovative approach that offsets the environmental impacts of traditional pyrotechnic fireworks while providing a celebratory experience.
