Small jet plane crashes into California airport fence
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (NBC) - A small jet crashed into a fence at Hawthorne airport on Tuesday.
Officials say the private jet, with seven people on board, crashed through a perimeter fence after skidding off the runway when it landed at the airport.
The plane landed safely, but failed to turn at the end of the runway, according to the fire department.
All of the plane's occupants, including the pilot, had safely evacuated.
The crash is under investigation.
