Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Monday picked up strong winds throughout California from the south to the north.
Some areas were affected more than others as the dust began to cover Sacramento and Modesto, but trees caused damages to passing-by cars.
Companies are planning to cut electricity from certain areas to prevent sparks and fires from the wind hitting power liens.
Parts of Oklahoma felt effects of tornados destroy homes while the California heat threatens to bring more destruction.
The combination of high winds and heat are worrying California residents who will be without power.
As many as twenty counties in California will have their power cut off for safety reasons.
Pacific Gas and Electric stated that more than 25,000 customers will be effected.
