U.S. Border Patrol Yuma Sector

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - United States Border Patrol Wellton Station arrested an illegal immigrant who is previously convicted of having sex with a minor.

Agents observing the desert east area of Yuma located five individuals who illegally entered the U.S. and arrested them.

One of the five was Carlos Enrique Naranjo Angel, 48, who was convicted of having sex with a minor of three years of age or younger.

Naranjo Angel was sentenced to 10 months for his crime in San Jose, Calif. in 1998.

He was convicted again for the same crime of accepting stolen property in Santa Clara, Calif. in 2002 and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

For the second time, Naranjo Angel was convicted and sentenced to 16 months in prison for obtaining stolen property in 2009 in Sunnydale, Calif.

Naranjo Angel was formally removed from the U.S. after his last conviction.

Agents say the man is now facing separate charges for, "re-entry of a removed alien."
