Senator Kelly sworn in for his full six-year term
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Senator Mark Kelly has sworn in to fulfill his six-year term in the United States Senate.
According to a press release, the swearing in took place on Tuesday, January 3.
“Over the past several years, I’ve met Arizonans in every corner of our state who shared with me their stories of perseverance and hope for a better future. Every day, these stories drive my work here in the Senate. From lowering prescription drug costs to creating more good-paying manufacturing jobs, I’m proud to have broken through partisan gridlock to pass laws that will improve Arizonans’ lives,” Kelly spoke.
Furthermore, Kelly, first elected in 2020, served the remainder of the late Senator John McCain's term.
“I also have the honor of working on behalf of Arizonans in the seat once held by the late Senator John McCain. His overall commitment to putting Arizonans ahead of partisan politics has guided my own service, and it will continue to guide me over these next six years. While there is more work to do as we take on the challenges ahead, I’m committed to serving all Arizonans in the Senate. And I’ll keep working with anyone to deliver results,” said Kelly.
