Agents rescue lost woman in Jacumba Wilderness

OCOTILLO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection says agents recently rescued a migrant in the Jacumba Wilderness.

At about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, agents were told of a migrant in distress in Jacumba.

Hours later, agents found the 26-year-old woman four miles north of the U.S./Mexico border.

Border Patrol says the woman was left behind by a group she was traveling with but did not have the proper documents to be in the U.S.
