Russian citizens may be key to peace as talks resume Monday

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are set to resume as early as Monday, according to one member of the Ukrainian delegation.

But, some say the people who could end the war might not be at the negotiating table.

Turkey says it's hosting talks between Ukraine and Russia, but some people think it's actually the Russian people who could end the war.

The problem is, Russian President Vladimir Putin is making it hard for his people to learn the truth about what's going on in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelensky spoke to independent Russian journalists Sunday.

"The bottom line is Putin's jeopardy are the Russian people," said Rep. John Garamendi. "They are already in the streets. There will be millions more as they find out what is going on."
