Can AM UTV collision at Otondo Dr and 26th St

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) — Yuma police responded to a Can AM UTV injury collision at Otondo Drive and 26th Street on Sunday evening.

The incident happened at around 7:06 p.m.

A 50-year-old female operating the Can Am UTV was traveling westbound on 26th Street when she attempted to make a righthand turn onto Otondo Drive.

While turning, the UTV rolled over and the driver was partly ejected.

The driver was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center then later transported to a Phoenix area hospital in a serious, but stable condition.

The woman was the only person inside of the vehicle.

Although the case is still under investigation, speed may have been a component of the incident.

The Yuma Police Department asks for anyone with information to reach out at (928) 373-4700 or (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous.
