YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Homeownership has been rising since 2017, and a report from Filterbuy has shown some surprising data.
Across the United States, about 41.9% of millennials, who are classified as people born between 1981 and 1996, are homeowners.
In Yuma, Arizona, millennials make up about 21% of the population, and of that percentage, about 40.7% of millennials own their home, a bit less than the national average.
Demands for homes have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and many might be in a good place to start thinking about buying one.
A big difference for Yuma versus the national average is that the median income for millennial Yumans is $28,000 compared to $38,000 in the U.S.
