More virus aid from US lands in India on Sunday night

(KYMA, KECY/ NBC News) - On Sunday night, India received 125,000 vials of an anti-viral drug as the US continues to ship aid to India who is facing the largest hit of Covid-19 in the world.

The anti-viral drug is called Remdesivir which helps fight Covid-19.

It's the fourth assiatance flight from the United States to India in the last week amid the ongoing pandemic which is hitting India harder than ever. Today, India reported over 368,000 new Coronavirus cases, taking its overall caseload to just shy of 20,000,000.

With a rise in deaths of 3,400, the US is sending supplies worth more than $100 million to help India combat the surge.
