San Luis Mayor: Mexican side of port to close overnight

Port to shut down from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The mayor of San Luis, Arizona says officials have decided to close the Mexican Port of Entry overnight effective Monday, April 20, 2020.

Mayor Gerardo Sanchez announced the closure in a Facebook post. Sanchez says the Mexican side of the San Luis port will close each night at 10, and reopen the following morning at six.

Sanchez urged residents and border crossers to plan for the closure, and to take steps to stay safe.
