Yuma Mayor in Washington DC for a series of meetings
Mayor Douglas Nicholls is currently in Washington DC for a series of meetings that will discuss topics prominent to Yuma.
On Tuesday he was invited to a White House holiday party alongside his wife, Danette.
"Danette and I were honored to be invited to the White House for a holiday celebration, where the President of the United States Donald Trump and First Lady welcomed us," said Mayor Nicholls.
Mayor Nicholls will also be meeting with the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Bureau of Reclamation, the White House Office of intergovernmental affairs, and with Senator Martha McSally.
He is there to represent the city of Yuma on a variety of issues including water, U.S. Highway 95, immigration, and more.
