San Luis man sentenced on 6 counts of felony charges

The San Luis man arrested for aggravated assault and criminal trespassing in July 2018 was sentenced on Wednesday to 10.5 years behind bars.

28-year-old Raul Tejeda was found guilty of one count of aggravated assault on law enforcement, one count of kidnapping, one count of trespassing, among other felony charges.

Tejeda was initially arrested in July 2018 when Yuma Police responded to a domestic violence call. He allegedly forced his way into a women’s residence and then assaulted and threatened to kill her multiple times.

Tejeda was denied a motion for a new trial.
