Jury selection continues for Yuma man accused of Lin’s Grand Buffet murder
Jury selection continued Tuesday in the trial of the Yuma man accused of first-degree murder.
Modesto Cortes Serrillo was back in court Tuesday. Cortes is being accused of murdering a man outside Lin’s Grand Buffet back in 2014.
There were 97 prospective jurors present during the juror selection Tuesday.
They were briefed on the details of the case which included that Cortes Serrillo was going through a divorce from his wife and that he was upset she was seeing other men, including the victim.
Jurors were asked to fill out questionnaires last Tuesday and will decide if the murder was pre-meditated or not.
The trial is expected to last about three weeks.
