14th Annual North End Feast

The 14th annual North End Feast was held earlier today.

The annual event took place at the MLK youth career center and it was a great way for the community to partake in a free thanksgiving meal. Doors opened at 11am and lasted until 2. Lydia Blackthunder, the youth manager at the center shares what items were on the menu.

“Today we have a feast for our community. We serve up to 450 people every year. We serve everything that involves a thanksgiving dinner, which is turkey, ham, mash potatoes, gravy, corn and the whole works, ” said Blackthunder.

The AWC football players were also there helping out, serving food and Lydia adds that it’s really a community effort from organizations like the CTC Church and the young Marines that come together to make this annual event possible each year.
