Topic of the Day: Yuma loses eatery

It seemed that not too long ago word around the water cooler was the new businesses coming into town. Native Grill and Wings became a popular eatery for many; offering a variety of dishes and of course chicken wings. For many, the restaurant became their watering hole and go-to spot to catch their favorite team in action or just enjoy a meal on the patio over looking 16th Street.

Yuma isn’t the only one to say goodbye to the restaurant as Yelp.com shows multiple closures including Phoenix, Chandler, Flagstaff and even Nampa, Idaho. Many of those businesses were closed due to poor performance and some have even reported that Arizona’s recent minimum wage increase did them in. Here locally, the official reason has yet to be released, but regardless of the cause the eatery will be missed.
