Border Patrol agents arrest convicted sex offender
Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported sex offender who tried to illegally enter the United States at the Calexico Port of Entry Sunday morning.
Agents patrolling around 26 miles west of the Port of Entry in Calexico noticed a man who was illegally present in the U.S.
The man was arrested and after being transported to the Calexico Station for processing, he was identified as Hector-Macedo-Arellano.
Macedo had been previously convicted of sexual battery on Aug. 22nd of 2011. He was sentenced to two years of probation and served time in jail.
The records check also showed Macedo was ordered removed by an immigration judge on Sept. 1st of 2011.
Macedo, a 35-year-old Mexican citizen, will be prosecuted for re-entry after removal.
