Arizona Governor scheduled to attend groundbreaking ceremony

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey along with U.S. Senator Jeff flake were invited to speak at a groundbreaking ceremony in San Luis. The ceremony is for the San Luis 1 Land Port of Entry Pedestrian Annex building. The U.S. General Services Administration and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will co-host the event.

The project will cost $6 million and will proved seven to 10 added lanes for those using the port to cross. The border crossing is essential for Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m. It will be held at Highway 95 and the Mexican Border of San Luis, Ariz.

Also in attendance the Mayor of San Luis, Gerrardo Sanchez and Governor Claudia Pavlovich Arellano for the State of Sonora, Mexico. U.S. Representative Raul Grijalva is also scheduled to speak along with several other local officials.
