Two arrested, one at large after drive-by shooting

Brawley Police Department officials are still looking for a man suspected of being connected to a drive-by shooting into a car.

Officers say Jose Romero, Javier Salcedo and Ronald “Ronnie” Hernandez, 25, are suspected of shooting at six people in a car.

The victims were two adults and four young children, according to police. No one was hurt during the shooting.

Officers say Romero and Salcedo were arrested, however, Hernandez remains at large.

The shooting happened in the area of south Palm Avenue and I Street at about 10 p.m. on Monday.

Police served a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of H Street where officers found multiple firearms in connection to the shooting.

Officers say the incident may be gang related but are still trying to figure out the motive for the shooting.

Hernandez is considered armed and dangerous.
