Residents concerned over gas services at local RV park
Richard Wagner says paying more for gas is just one of his concerns. Now, Wagner is left without gas… so without heating or cooking capabilities in his home. Wagner has been a tenant at Country Breeze Mobile Park in Yuma for about a year and a half. Wednesday morning he woke up to his gas services interrupted. Wagner says he took matters into his own hands after AmeriGas told him it would be at least seven business days before he could get his tank refilled with propane.
According to management, the park was initially contracted with Cactus Propane as their gas supplier but the company was bought out by AmeriGas. That was when AmeriGas acquired at least 2,000 new customers In Yuma.
AmeriGas says 80% of their 2,000 newly acquired customers were not up to code, meaning that they all have safety violations. AmeriGas says then they have to pause services, upgrade them to code, then they reinstate the service.
