Yuma Chamber of Commerce hosts discussion explaining Prop 206
Proposition 206 is taking effect in Arizona, now local business owners are preparing for the future of the minimum wage law.
The Yuma Chamber of Commerce says they want local businesses to succeed, and they say that’s why they hosted presentations Thursday–breaking down the regulations of the prop.
“I keep telling people, ‘If not us, then who?’ So as a Chamber of commerce, my job is to make sure your business is profitable, within compliance of the law, so you can do the things you need to do as a business,” explains John Courtis, Executive Director of Yuma County Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber says one of the most important things to come with Proposition 206 is not only managing sick time, but for consumers and business owners alike to stay loyal to local establishments.
