Eduardo Garcia stops for coffee in Holtville

State Assembly member Eduardo Garcia visited the city of Holtville this morning to talk to community members.

The 56th district assembly member, representing Imperial and Coachella valleys, stopped by the Holtville Chamber of Commerce office to have coffee with the public.

This was the first of three events that will take place during the next few weeks in which he will also visit Calexico and El Centro.

Garcia says this is an opportunity to talk about new legislation that was introduced, signed and will become law in January 2017. Garcia says their goal during these events is not only reaching out to the community but also helping a local non-profit organization.

“Either way our goal is to make ourselves accessible to the citizens of Imperial County and of course support the Imperial Valley Food Bank (IVFB) during these holidays times,” said Garcia.

They will be taking food can donations during the events to help the IVFB .

The next “community coffee” event will take place on Monday, December 12th at Hope Cafe in Calexico followed by one in El Centro December 21st.

For information on time and place of events contact the Eduardo Garcia’s office in El Centro at (760) 355-8656.
