New Burlington store opens doors and donates $5,000 to local elementary

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The new Burlington store located at the Yuma Palms Mall hosted its grand opening today and donated five thousand dollars to Roosevelt Elementary School as part of its AdopotAClassroom program.

Burlington says the funds will go towards school supplies that ensure students have the learning materials and tools they need to succeed now and in the future.

They add that the new store creates more jobs in the community and that they have hired over 60 employees so far.

Ana Ortega, the Principal at Roosevelt Elementary School, says, "We are super excited and we are extremely grateful for this opportunity to support our students this upcoming school year and support our teachers."

Stephanie Tate, the new Burlington store manager, adds, "It's just our way of giving back to our community and to our local school."

The store is officially open for business and is accepting applications.
