YFD responded to emergency calls and provide rules of the road

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - During Fire Prevention Week, the Yuma Fire Department (YFD) responded to 341 emergency calls.

Accordingly, these calls were in regards to the following:

  • 13 General Fire Responses
  • 28 Motor Vehicle Crashes
  • 276 Other Medical Emergencies
  • 24 Special Duty, Public Assistance and Residential Assignments

Not only that, YFD say that most of their calls were from motor vehicle crashes. Moreover, YFD offers these simple suggestions when driving on any road:

  • Consider your driving time
  • Plan your route
  • Drive defensively
  • Avoid distractions
  • Make use of your safety devices
  • Be alert and yield to responding emergency vehicles
