Organize Arizona hosts Vote Expo to bring awareness to voters

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Organize Arizona hosted a family-friendly community event called Vote Expo.

Moreover, the event started from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sanguinetti Memorial Park.

Furthermore, the expo held a costume contest, where attendees dressed up as their favorite superheroes or characters.

Also, they had food provided by local businesses, and organizations like WACOG were on hand to help out.

"So this event is brought together by a lot of small businesses here in the community and organizations that are trying to make a change here in Yuma," said Alan, the Regional Field Director of Organize Arizona.

The change, in particular, was in regards to the November 8 General Election.

While the event was all fun and games, Organize Arizona's main goal was to provide resources and information on how to vote.

That and to let the community know of programs like WACOG's Head Start program.

Organize Arizona also wanted to let the community know about the Boys and Girls Club Yuma Branch opening in December.

If anyone did not attend the expo on Saturday, then you can logon to OrganizeArizona.org to learn more about them.
