Migrants demand entry to U.S. or $50,000 to return home
Members of the migrant caravan marched towards the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana Tuesday morning demanding the U.S. government entry into the United States or pay them $50,000 to go home.
ABC 10 (KGTV) in San Diego reported that after a two-hour journey, two groups of migrants arrived at the consulate around 11 a.m. Migrants held banners while they marched to the consulate with one that read: “You got it wrong, Trump. We asked for jobs and you responded with weapons. That is not polite. If asking for work is troublesome, then I am totally confused. La Caravana.”
When they arrived at the consulate, KGTV reported that they issued a petition asking the consulate to allow everyone in the caravan into the U.S. The group also asked for $50,000 to return to their home countries
The group did not acknowledge its next steps if their demands are not met within 72 hours. The group did not make it known what they plan to do if a response is not made within the 72 hours.
