County Supervisors Association elect Russell McCloud as new president
Yuma County Supervisor for District 2 Russell McCloud has been elected as the new president for the County Supervisors Associations Board of Directors.
McCloud has served the district for more than ten years and has served three terms as a board member since 2001.
McCloud said there’s a lot of work to be done starting at the local level and then bringing it state-wide.
“To end the state sweeps of funds that don’t belong to Yuma County, let’s put the burden on our local taxpayers, and I believe that the legislator will be improving that,” said McCloud.
McCloud also adds how he plans on executing those issues by being proactive.
“To make sure that we continue being at the table and to be actively and proactively involved, those are the primary two things. We have to make sure that our voices are being heard,” said McCloud.
McCloud also started a fundraising committee for Amberly’s Place that led to an invitation to join the board of director since 2003 where McCloud still serves.
