Ashley Homestore gives a bed to kids in need

Ashley Furniture Homestore on 4th Ave. hosted its 3rd annual Hope to Dream event.

During the year, every time a mattress is purchased through Yuma Furniture or Ashley Furniture, proceeds of that purchase goes towards making this event possible.

For the event, children who may not have a bed at home were referred by the local mission as well as the school district.

These children were able to take pictures with S anta , decorate cookies, play games and watch a Christmas movie on beds set up in front of a big screen television.

Tiffany Houston, manager, said this event is important to kids in Yuma because “everybody needs a bed to sleep on, these kiddos are not sleeping in a bed so they need to be comfortable, they need to have a place to call their own and so we feel so grateful we are able to provide them with that and give them a good night’s rest.”
