County departments reaches out to Calexico community members

On Wednesday, Imperial County departments are offering their services to Calexico residents at City Hall.

Over 60 percent of residents in Calexico are low income. The outreach event will include services from the departments of social services, child support, and senior assistance programs.

District Supervisor, John Renison hopes residents will take advantage of this opportunity. “Today people who want to file medi-cal claims, want to check up on their medi-cal claim, want to file child support. Anything to do with any kind of cash assistance, we will be here today from 4:30 to 7 infront of City Hall,” said Renison.

If tonight’s event is successful, the county hopes to continue their outreach program once a month in other communities.
