Motorcyclist identified in fatality collision

ORIGINAL STORY:
Early Saturday morning, Yuma Police Officers responded to a single vehicle collision on S. Redondo Center Drive.
According to Yuma Police Department, at about 1:46 A.M., a 1997 Honda motorcycle was traveling southbound and misjudged a curve, hitting the opposite curve causing the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike.
YPD says the rider was a 31-year-old male who was not wearing his helmet.
He was pronounced dead on scene according to YPD’s press release and they say speed appears to be a factor in the incident.
