Gov. Doug Ducey issues emergency declaration for Arizona fires
PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Governor Doug Ducey issues Declaration of Emergency for Telegraph and Mescal fires on Wednesday.
The fires have burned more than 146,000 acres and have led to many evacuations and road closures. However, Gov. Ducey says fire crews continue to work around the clock to contain the fires. In a tweet, Gov. Ducey says, "The Declarations of Emergency and Federal Grants will help make sure responders have the necessary resources for response and recovery — protecting people, pets & property. We will continue to work closely with local officials to ensure the needs of those communities are met."
