Better Business Bureau has a warning for homeowners looking to add a pool
Swimming pools are a major investment and before breaking ground, the BBB has tips to help you
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The decision to build a swimming pool cannot be taken lightly. Pools, in general, can be costly, not only in the short run but over time.
That's why the Better Business Bureau has created an entire network of businesses, including those that focus on building and maintaining pools. Along with finding a contractor, you can see their BBB rating and reviews.
An added feature on the BBB website is its Scam Tracker which archives criminal activity. According to Community Director John Hessinger says that scam artists target homeowners looking for a bargain on a pool, they get a down payment and never do the work.
The BBB website also provides details on local companies that provide pool maintenance.
