FBI seeking suspects involved in Glendale bank robbery
The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for the public to help identify two men suspected of robbing the Arizona Federal Credit Union located at 5485 W. Northern Ave. in Glendale, Ariz. at around 11:18 a.m. Friday.
The suspects are described as two white and/or Hispanic males who are 20 to 30 years old. Both suspects were 5’8 to 6’0 and are of average build. The suspects were wearing sweatshirts and had their faces hidden.
Investigators believe that the suspects could be linked to other bank robberies in the Phoenix Metro area.
During the robbery, the suspects threatened bank employees and customers with handguns and demanded money from the bank staff. At least one shot was fired during the robbery. None of the bank employees or customers were injured.
The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of money in a gold Nissan Maxima.
The investigation by members of the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force continues regarding the subject and vehicle. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
