Nearly 500 Yuma homes still without power after storm

UPDATE: Nearly 500 homes and businesses remain without power one day after a strong storm toppled lines across Yuma County.

At the height of the storm, around seven Monday night, nearly 14-thousand people were in the dark.

Arizona Public Service had hoped to get everyone back on line by 11 p.m. However, some 494 homes and businesses in the Foothills still have no electricity.

Crews continue to work to fix all the downed power lines.

APS hopes to have power fully restored by 8 Tuesday night.
