President Trump plans visit to Arizona

President will arrive in the state next week

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KYMA, KECY) - President Donald Trump says he plans to travel to Arizona next week.

The President says he looks forward to resuming campaign rallies after spending more than a month in the White House due to coronavirus. No word yet on if Trump plans to hold anything resembling a rally. The state will remain under a modified stay-at-home order through May 15.

“We’re going to start to move around and hopefully in the not-too-distant future, we’ll have some massive rallies and people will be sitting next to each other.” said the President.

Trump says he's looking for to his Arizona trip. He says he also hopes to visit Ohio in the near future.

The President announced his travel plans at a time when much of the national remains under some sort of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. He hasn't said exactly when he expects to resume his rallies. He said it would depend, at least in part, on the state.
